Bashing Things With a Club

A tribe of believers were thrust out of their god’s paradise due to a simple betrayal. They still held true to their religion: Luvolicious. Luvolicious is watched over by a pair of gods: the “God of All” luvo, and his “Rommate” Aluei. The five members who survived the expulsion attempted to build a new home: Rabbit (21) – a young girl who grew up in cave and now specializes in cutting trees. Queso (54) – an old man who was found in a spaceship as a child and spent his entire adult life building massive structures for his friends and family. Fweo (30) – a man who was born sickly and abandoned to the wilds, but managed to survive on his own and spent his adult life on the frontier, killing wild predators and building temporary forts to rest during the winters. Monkey (51) – an old woman who bullied others as a child and was forced to work as a scout on the edges of civilization as an adult. Hakuja (55) – an old woman who watched her father kill her mother as a child and became fascinated with finding how many others she could welcome into the abyss of death. As she grew older, however, she found the beauty in the natural world and became one who saved life instead, though the urges from her childhood lurked just below the surface.

luvo’s sacred animal was the cat, and fortunately the newfound tribe managed to escape with three of them. Unfortunately, just as Queso was in the process of building bedrooms, a timber wolf attacked and killed the youngest of them – Katten. Fweo picked up his club and beat the timber wolf to death. He took a few injuries in the fight and went to his brand-new bed, awaiting the doctor to treat his wounds. Meanwhile, Queso took a break from building their stronghold to dig a grave for their pet and Hakuja was so impressed with Queso’s caring nature that she immediately asked him to move in with her. Fweo grew so frustrated at waiting for someone to inspect his wounds that he went back to the site of the battle, butchered the dead timber wolf, and went on a binge eating the entire creature.

A few days later, Queso – who doubled as the tribe’s cook – failed to clean the kitchen properly and gave three of the five members of the tribe food poisoning. Rabbit was in the process of mining an area and avoided this vomit-inducing fate, and Fweo was still full from his binge a few days prior. A rival tribe took this opportunity of weakness to attack, and Fweo attempted to sound the alarm only to be greeted with retching and haphazard attempts at finding their weapons. Fweo grabbed his club and beat the intruder in the head, knocking her unconscious. He brought the invader – Ash – back to their prison. This was formerly Queso’s room, before he decided to move in with Hakuja.

Hakuja tended the prisoner and Queso attempted to convert her to the way of luvo. Food was getting tight, as their farm had yet to come to fruition, and their only hunter (Monkey) was still recovering from food poisoning. Fweo took up his club again and decided to manually bash rams to death to bring back for dinner. He got quite a few bruises for his troubles, but he succeeded at his goal. As everyone was beginning to recover from Queso’s cooking, Fweo went to his room to recover from his wounds.

No one bothered appearing to check on Fweo, despite now having food and knowing he was injured. He got fed up with the entire situation and pulled himself from his bed to the kitchen and decided to smoke a third of the entire tribe’s weed supply over the course of the day before settling down for a nice night.

The next day, Queso heard a transmission from the stars and found a small child – Ernesto – who claimed that he no longer needed sleep or food and that he wished to help the Luvors thrive. Queso, figuring that this was a messenger from luvo. Meanwhile, back at camp, Ash had recovered enough to attempt a prison break. She burst out of her door as Fweo was starting breakfast after his weed-binge the day before. She came at him at full speed, Fweo put down his fork and grabbed his club and knocked her out with a single tap to the head. A moment later, Monkey burst in with her bow ready and saw Fweo picking up his fork for a first bite. She looked at the unconscious prisoner, Fweo shrugged, and she cautiously dragged the body back to her cell.
